Did you know that the word blog is formed from two words: the word "web" and the word "log"?
The "web" part lets us know that the blog is on the internet (or "web"). The word "log" lets us know that a blog is a type of journal.
This makes sense because the dictionary defines "blog" as: a website containing a writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images and links to other websites.

The Cyburr Blog is a blog about books. You can use it to blog about books, including the books for Reading Celebration Week. .

To make sure everyone blogs in a school-appropriate way, there are some rules about blogging.
- The blog is school property, so please be sure you are blogging
only about books;
- Do not give out personal information on this blog – only use your
first name, the first initial of your last name, and your class (for example, 4S)
in your post; and
- Use your best spelling, grammar and correct punctuation.
